Addison's friend...

Just had to share a quick, sweet Addison moment. Mrs. Gretchen, who keeps Addison on the days I am working, has a little boy (Logan) who is her age. This morning I held Addison's hand and walked her to the door...Logan ran out to meet us with his arms open wide and gave Addison a big hug! It had been a about a week since we had last been there, so I guess they were glad to see each other! I mean, melt my heart...it was the sweetest thing. So, I would say that Logan is Addison's first official friend! :)

She's a walker...almost!!

Sunday afternoon the three of us headed out to Murray Park for Matthew's PM&R Department picnic. Another beautiful day! We took advantage of the big open field to let Addison practice walking. She's getting closer and taking more and more steps on her own!

War Eagle!

Saturday we got up early and drove to Hindsville, Arkansas with Gigi and Poppy for the War Eagle Craft Fair. The weather was perfect and we all had a great time. Addison seemed to really enjoy taking in all the sights and sounds! Here are a few pictures :)

Matthew and I went to the Arkansas vs. Alabama game Saturday with Sydney and Josh. We had a fun time even though our team lost. Addison cheered for the Hogs from GiGi and Poppy's house while we went to the game. As you can see from the picture, she chose to cheer barefoot.

Today we went to the zoo with our friends Susan and Sam. We all really enjoyed being out on such a nice day, and I think Addison and Sam actually noticed quite a few of the big animals! Here are a few pictures from our trip...

Sorry it has been so long!

Here are a few pictures showing what Addison has been doing since her 1st birthday. She keeps busy crawling, pulling up on EVERYTHING, playing with toys, opening and closing cabinets, listening to music, dancing, playing with her mom and dad, trying all kinds of new foods, and reading. She is very well rounded :)

Forward facing and loving it!!

I am so happy...Addison is finally in a forward facing car seat! It is so much easier getting her in and out of the car and she really likes the new view.


Here is a pic of Addison playing with her new Leap Frog activity table. She loves it, and I do too because it keeps her occupied and out of my bathroom and kitchen cabinets when I am trying to do a few things around the house :) It is so cute to watch her play with this...so far her favorite is the button that plays banjo music and will start dancing every time the banjo music starts playing!

Addison is 1 year old!!!!!

I cannot believe that it has already been a year! We celebrated Addison's birthday with a family cookout yesterday at our house. We had a lot of fun and were so thankful to have our family there to celebrate with us! Here are a few pictures from the party!!

Playing with cousins!

Addison was able to spend some time at her Granna and Grandaddy's house on Saturday. She did a little eating, a little napping, and a little birthday shopping! She was so excited when her cousins, Jackson and Ethan, showed up. As you can see in the picture, she is doing her best to keep up with them!

Does this look comfortable???

I walked in and found Addison in a new sleeping position. I must say, she was sleeping quite soundly, but this looks so uncomfortable! I can't say that I have ever slept in this position, but if I woke up like this I don't know that I would be able to walk the next day. Of course, she popped right up and was smiling and ready to go!

As you can see, she was able to unfold from her new sleeping position! :)

On the move...

Now that Addison is crawling and on the move, she loves that she can finally get to the window all by herself so she can look out. In these pictures we were watching for Daddy's car to pass by!
