Addison is 2!!

I can not believe that my baby is already 2 years old! We celebrated her birthday while Addison's GiGi, Poppy, Aunt Emily, Great-NaNa, and Great-PaPa were here for a visit. She still would not eat cake again this year...not sure how a child of mine does not seem to like sweets!! Here is the birthday girl...

While the family was here visiting we went to Washington D.C. for a few days. We had a blast exploring the city and seeing the sites!

Addison's Grandaddy came for a visit the weekend before and we had a great time getting to visit with him too! So sad to see all of our family leave...

Farmer's Market and a Tea Party!

This past weekend we took a trip downtown to explore Richmond's 17th Street Farmer's Market. We made a few purchases including cantaloupe, tomatoes, and peaches. Addison even got a bracelet made by one of the vendors we met there (who happened to be from Arkansas!!). Here are a few pictures...

Addison admiring her bracelet...

Other weekend events included a tea party...as you can see Addison, gorilla, and bunny were all in attendance. Gorilla came appropriately dressed in his summer attire, a Little Swimmer diaper :)

Updates, Updates, Updates!!

I must admit that it has been way too long since I have updated our blog. It is amazing how much time has passed and how much has happened since the last posting. In the past 6 months we have sold our house, packed up our house, moved 1000 away from home, found out we are expecting baby #2, Matthew finished residency, Matthew started fellowship training here in Virginia, and now we are here in Richmond, Virginia trying to settle into life in a new town...other than that, not too much has been going on!! :)

Addison is doing great and will turn 2 at the end of this month...2 years old??!! She is getting so big and talking so much. She is constantly on the move, so I cherish the moments when she crawls up into my lap to snuggle. I enjoy all her little sayings...especially, "Der's (there's) a baby in ner (there)??" as she points to my tummy. She is precious and makes us laugh a lot.

Matthew finished residency!!! Yeah!!! He is doing one more year of fellowship training here in Richmond, Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University/the McGuire Veterans Hospital. He is already one week into it and really excited about what he is going to get to be doing.

Baby #2 is on the way!! I am 16 weeks and feeling great. We are due December 25th...Merry Christmas! We are so excited about our growing family. Our most recent ultrasound revealed that it is either a boy or a girl...basically it was too early to tell :)

Addison's friend...

Just had to share a quick, sweet Addison moment. Mrs. Gretchen, who keeps Addison on the days I am working, has a little boy (Logan) who is her age. This morning I held Addison's hand and walked her to the door...Logan ran out to meet us with his arms open wide and gave Addison a big hug! It had been a about a week since we had last been there, so I guess they were glad to see each other! I mean, melt my heart...it was the sweetest thing. So, I would say that Logan is Addison's first official friend! :)
